| Setting | Behavior |

| Record my own copy of every verse | The app tracks only your recordings. Dimmed verses are ones you've already recorded. |
| Fill in what my family hasn't recorded | The app suggests verses no family member has recorded yet. Great for dividing up a chapter. |
You can always manually select any verse regardless of this setting.
Default Record Point (when no plan is active)

| From last chapter recorded | Continue where you left off in your most recent chapter. |
| Whole Bible (in order) | Scan from Genesis forward to the first unrecorded verse in the entire Bible. |
When you have an active recording plan, Record automatically advances through the plan's chapters instead.
